About RYZE
RYZE Claim Solutions is a national insurance claims management TPA serving carriers across property, casualty, commercial, and specialty lines. We're a Bain Capital Insurance portfolio company with a distributed team of 200+ professionals across the country. Our culture is friendly, fast-moving, and built on real ownership — we believe in giving people the room to do great work and the support to grow.
Our Values in Action
Six values guide how we work and how we treat each other. Here's what they look like in this role:
- Service Excellence — Deliver clean, accurate financials our team and stakeholders can count on, month after month.
- Passion — Bring energy to the close cycle and to the details, even on the routine work.
- Integrity — Treat every transaction, every reconciliation, and every conversation with honesty and care.
- Ownership — Take real responsibility for the accounts and processes you manage; raise issues early.
- One Team — Partner with Billing, Operations, HR, and leadership to solve problems together, not in silos.
- Celebrate Success — Recognize wins (yours and your teammates'), learn from misses, and have fun along the way.
About the Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. You'll work directly with our Controller and Senior Accountant to keep our financial records accurate, support our monthly close, and play a real part in scaling our accounting operations. This is a great opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to build technical depth in a PE-backed, fast-growing environment.
What You'll Do
- Process accounts payable — review invoices, route for approval, code transactions, and run payment cycles.
- Prepare and post journal entries; assist with accruals and recurring entries.
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end close with assigned reconciliations and schedules.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and investigate variances.
- Help monitor cash flow and prepare routine cash reporting.
- Support audits and tax preparation with documentation and information requests.
- Partner with Billing, Operations, and HR on transaction-level questions.
- Look for ways to make our processes better and bring those ideas forward.
What We're Looking For
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of bookkeeping, accounts payable, or general accounting experience.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting fundamentals.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, pivots, lookups).
- Experience with an ERP or accounting system (NetSuite preferred).
- High attention to detail; you sweat the small stuff because the small stuff matters.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle competing deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Insurance, TPA, or financial services background is a plus, not a requirement.
What We Offer
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
- 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
- Generous paid time off plus paid holidays.
- Hybrid work flexibility — collaborate in person when it adds value, work remote when it doesn't.
- A clear path for growth into Senior Accountant and beyond.
- A team that genuinely likes working together.
