THE OPPORTUNITY

The responsibility of the Staff Accountant is to perform tasks that include, but are not limited to, processing payroll, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, and other general clerical tasks as requested.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Payroll Tasks (including but not limited to):

• Processing payroll on a weekly basis through a third-party system.

• Entering information pertaining to new hires into the system.

• Reviewing and processing time sheets.

• Uploading weekly files including 401k and HSA participant information.

• Filing weekly, quarterly, and annual payroll taxes.

• Filing certified payroll.


Accounts Receivable Tasks (including but not limited to):

• Obtaining lien waivers as necessary.

• Following up with customers on late receivables.

• Working with customers on compliance documentation.

• Entering cash receipts in the system.

Accounts Payable Tasks (including but not limited to):

• Overseeing data entry of vendor invoices.

• Working with vendors to resolve pricing and invoice disputes

• Processing weekly check run to pay vendors.

• Working with internal teams to obtain necessary approvals on invoices.

• Processing annual 1099s.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO OUR ORGANIZATION

• Construction environment experience

• A minimum of three years in an accounting/business unit role

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

• Experience with Textura, Procore or Acumatica

• Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet professional manner

• Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively

• Strong organizational and communication skills

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• The work is primarily performed in an office environment Monday through Friday with a consistent schedule; but may work some unusual hours as needed.

• You will be mostly sedentary, sitting at a desk, frequently required to reach with hands and arms, view a PC monitor (close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus), talk and hear.

• You will be occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop or kneel.

• May at times lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
