We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. Exposure to Manufacturing environments is ideal but not required. Role and Essential Functions
- Monthly bank statement reconciliations for all companies
- Maintain various GL details (Accrued Expenses, Invoices Waiting to be Received, Interest paid, Etc.)
- Maintain and manage cash daily in real time
- Calculate, report, and pay all sales and use tax to the appropriate states on a monthly & quarterly basis
- Update sales tax rate schedules as needed
- Communicate monthly reports
- Reconcile all Intercompany Balance Sheet and P&L transactions and report monthly in Corporate Accounting Software
- Monthly calculation and posting of unrealized currency gain/loss for Balance Sheet accounts
- Perform various analysis on an as needed/requested basis
- Maintain various reports on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis
- Assist and provide details to external auditors during the yearly audit
- Assist the entire accounting department and report to the Accounting Manager if needed
- Assist with the creation of each year’s Budget and Forecast
- Back up to the Accounting Manager when s/he is out or needs help; cross trained to perform Accounting Manager tasks
- Trained to cost all product codes & determine if their cost is accurate
- Cross trained on all aspects of AR & AP
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 1 years of relevant accounting/finance work experience
- Ability to work in US without Company sponsorship
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Expert Excel, Word, & PowerPoint skills required
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong collaboration skills
- Excellent financial acumen and attention to detail
- Exposure to accounting software applications
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines consistently
