The New Orleans Film Society (NOFS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting, nurturing, and amplifying the diverse voices of filmmakers. We aim to facilitate conversations through film and film-related programming that inspire, educate, challenge, and entertain our audiences.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The New Orleans Film Society is seeking to hire a staff accountant on a full-time basis to manage day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, and payroll. The candidate must have previous experience handling non-profit accounting and ideally has great working knowledge of Quickbooks and the organization’s CRM (Bloomerang). This person needs to have exceptional attention to detail, patience, and be well-organized. 

The Staff Accountant reports directly to the Director of Operations and collaborates closely with the Executive Director.  

Principal Duties:

Accounts Payable & Expense Management

Accounts Receivable & Revenue Tracking

Payroll & Employee Compensation

Grant Accounting & Compliance

Financial Reporting & Close Process

Audit, Tax & Compliance Support

Budgeting & Financial Planning

Benefits & Compensation: 

This position is full-time exempt, and the salary range is $65,000 per annum.

Location:

New Orleans Film Society staff work primarily in its office location, with some remote work flexibility. The candidate should live in the New Orleans metro area or be willing to relocate for the start of the position. The New Orleans Film Society is not able to offer a relocation package.
