Position Summary:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, reconciliations, and general ledger activities. This role assists with maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting month-end close processes while ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Conducts routine data entry management for accounting records including accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable, and journal entries.
• Review billing statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy.
• Perform account reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.

• Identify discrepancies and communicate issues to management in a timely manner.
• Assist with process improvements and maintaining internal controls.
• Performing other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial data.
• Working knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze financial information and resolve discrepancies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience preferred.
• Experience with Sage Intacct software preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Limited
