LAUNCH is a leading aviation staffing company that is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their finance team in their Oak Brook office. The Staff Accountant is responsible for working with the accounting team in creating accurate and timely financial statements while upholding the company’s standards and culture. This position reports directly to the Assistant Controller, and will be highly visible to the Controller, CFO and other members of the senior leadership team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparing and documenting journal entries for routine business transactions
- Reviewing and reconciling the general ledger
- Assisting in month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Manage accounts receivable process, including invoice generation, cash application, and account maintenance
- Reconcile third party payments through Intuit QuickBooks Payments and Ebiz Charge
- Support cash flow objectives by reviewing accounts receivable aging with business units to collect outstanding payments
- Providing support to outside accountants during annual financial audit
- Preparing financial statements and footnotes for annual audited financial statements
- Tracking and reconciling major expenses
- Assisting the Controller and CFO with other ad-hoc projects as needed
- Assist in the due diligence and accounting integration of acquired companies
- Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 2 - 3 years in an accounting role
- CPA required
