Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant to support busy company in the export business, providing various accounting functions such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable management, and account analysis to ensure data integrity.

• Preparing financial reports.

• Collaborate with internal teams on budgeting and financial audits to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulations.

• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks as well as Excel.

• Support accounts payable and receivable functions by verifying invoices, processing payments via Paychex or other platforms, and reconciling accounts.

• Perform detailed account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities.

Skills

• Ability to perform data entry accurately using 10 key typing skills; adept at double entry bookkeeping.

• Minimum of five years of accounting experience to include A/P, A/R, and Financial Reporting.

• Skilled in QuickBooks as well as Excel

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in account reconciliation and ledger management.

• Basic math proficiency combined with a solid understanding of financial concepts including budgeting, credit analysis, and account analysis. • Associate's degree in accounting

• Bilingual in Spanish and English is highly preferred!!!
