A leading organization is seeking a Staff Accountant I to support billing, payment processing, and accounting operations within a fast-paced business environment.

This hybrid opportunity offers $24/hr and is ideal for junior-level accounting professionals with strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and systems efficiently.

Schedule:

• Onsite daily during training
• After training: onsite approximately 6 times per month

Responsibilities:

• Process billing, disbursements, and payment applications
• Research checks and support accounting transaction processing
• Prepare and analyze accounting reports and statements
• Support account maintenance and financial record accuracy
• Perform variance and trend analysis
• Respond professionally to internal and external communications
• Assist with process improvements and documentation
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Associate's degree
• 1-3 years of accounting or finance experience
• Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and systems
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred:

• Billing or payment processing experience
• Access Database or workflow system experience
• Insurance or financial services background
