The Job

The Staff Accountant is a key member of the finance/accounting team. In addition to general ledger and AR/AP reconciliations, this position will work closely with the Director of Finance to close month end reports, prepare cash flow analyses, and manage tax accounting and reporting. Our business consists of service, consumable goods, and capital equipment sales, and is expanding rapidly in multiple states and regulatory environments. Experience managing sales tax and use tax in diverse environments is desirable. This position has room for considerable growth over the 24-36 month time frame.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

QUARTERLY ROCKS

Each quarter the Staff Accountant will establish, with the Director of Finance, the specific results, improvements, or accomplishments required to support HCS and departmental objectives. These are expressed as ROCKS.

Requirements

Educational Requirements 

Minimum of a college degree is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting is highly preferred.

Experience Requirements

Technical Experience: 3 or more years’ experience in an accounting function role. Sales & use tax experience desired.

Understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity of the systems and this position’s role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.
