A leading organization is seeking a Staff Accountant to their corporate headquarters. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, assisting with month-end close, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
Responsibilities- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
- Perform monthly account reconciliations (cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, etc.)
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Support financial statement preparation and reporting
- Assist with audit requests by preparing schedules and supporting documentation
- Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or variances
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1+ years of accounting experience (public accounting or industry)
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
