We are seeking a Staff Accountant to support our growing Finance team by owning key accounting processes, ensuring financial accuracy, and driving continuous improvement across accounting operations. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and contributing to a high-growth organization.

Please note: This is a hybrid role that requires regular onsite collaboration. Candidates must be willing to relocate to the Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW) area before their start date. Relocation assistance is not provided.

This position requires regular on-site attendance. Through September 30, 2026, employees are expected to work onsite at EWN's current headquarters in Decatur, Texas as required to support collaboration, coaching, decision-making, and business outcomes.

Effective October 1, 2026, EWN's headquarters will relocate to The Plaza at Solana, 1301 Solana Boulevard, Westlake, Texas 76262. Beginning on that date, employees will be required to work onsite in Westlake on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with remote work available on Mondays and Fridays. Regular onsite participation is considered an essential function of this role.

What You’ll Do

As a Staff Accountant at EWN, you will:

  1. Month-End Close & General Ledger Management
    • Own and execute month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and related closing tasks
    • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and ensure timely resolution of account discrepancies
    • Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
    • Ensure financial data is accurate, complete, and recorded in accordance with GAAP
  2. Financial Reporting & Analysis
    • Support the preparation of internal financial reports and management reporting packages
    • Analyze financial results and investigate variances, trends, and anomalies
    • Assist in maintaining accurate account classifications and period recognition
    • Support leadership with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting needs
  3. Compliance, Controls & Audit Support
    • Support revenue recognition activities and accounting compliance requirements
    • Assist with audit requests and documentation preparation
    • Help maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures
    • Ensure adherence to established accounting policies and reporting standards
  4. Systems & Process Improvement
    • Utilize NetSuite and other financial systems to analyze accounting activity and generate reports
    • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, workflows, and reporting efficiency
    • Support automation initiatives and system enhancements that improve accuracy and productivity
    • Help drive continuous improvement across Finance operations
  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with departments across the organization to gather, validate, and analyze financial information
    • Participate in onsite working sessions, business reviews, and process discussions
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to support financial accuracy, operational effectiveness, and business decision-making
