The Staff Accountant - Data Analysis position is responsible for ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company policies and procedures. This individual compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and documents business transactions. This person also maintains established accounting control policies and procedures in daily activities, produces reports, and assists Accountants with special projects as necessary.
Job Responsibilities
- Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare timely entries to general ledger accounts.
- Plays a key supporting role for the month-end close process in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Assists with monthly account reconciliations and analyzing general ledger accounts.
- Assists with compilation and preparation of forecasts and budgets for subject expert areas.
- Assists with investigation and explanation of account variances.
- Ensures compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company accounting policies and procedures.
- Maintains safety, security, and privacy standards throughout all areas of responsibility.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of accounting functions and principles.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel (i.e., VLookup and pivot tables), and Outlook.
- Experience with Workday or Adaptive is highly preferred.

Other Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
- Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance, Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or 1+ years of public accounting experience.
