Staff Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to support monthly close, reconciliations, and financial reporting across a multi-entity portfolio including retail, real estate, landscape and general construction operations. This role will primarily support Cornerstone Solutions Group and related entities. 

This position offers the opportunity to work closely with the Senior Staff Accountant and Accounting Manager in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Hybrid remote flexibility is available, with office headquarters in Dade City, FL (minutes north of Wesley Chapel).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, with timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation and review readiness.
• Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable activities as needed. 
• Participate in and support the month-end close process.
• Take ownership of and analyze activity in assigned balance sheet accounts and related reconciliations for Cornerstone entities.
• Support intercompany transactions and reconciliations across multiple entities.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies, variances, and data inconsistencies.
• Support process improvements and maintain accurate financial records within Sage Intacct. 

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (preferred)
• 2 + years’ experience in accounting or related field
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Teams & Word
• Sage Intacct experience preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to work cross functionally.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships
