Overview
Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing is partnered with a well-established organization in the Arlington, VA area seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations. This role will focus on core operational accounting functions and provide exposure to general ledger activity, reconciliations, close support, and financial reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate accounting records
- Perform account reconciliations and research discrepancies
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger support as needed
- Support month-end close and reporting activities
- Maintain schedules and documentation for audits and internal reporting
- Help improve accounting processes and reporting accuracy
- Support ad hoc accounting projects as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred
- Strong foundation in core operational accounting functions
- CPA preferred
- Experience with large ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Unanet, Costpoint, or similar is preferred
- Proficiency in Excel and strong organizational skills required
- Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn and grow
