Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant | Compensation: $80k–$120k

About the Role:
This role assists with day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities in the real estate industry, from bookkeeping to cash management to transaction support. The Staff Accountant keeps invoicing, payroll follow-ups, and bank coordination running smoothly while also supporting system and vendor implementations. It's a role built for someone who can juggle multiple financial processes at once without losing precision on any of them.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Financial Operations

• Manage bookkeeping for owner entities and management company accounts using QuickBooks and AppFolio
• Handle invoicing, payments, refunds, and exception queues
• Support payroll processes and routine accounting follow-ups

Cash & Banking Management

• Set up and manage cash accounts, balances, transfers, and wires
• Coordinate with banks, vendors, and external partners

Systems & Transaction Support

• Assist with accounting systems and vendor implementations
• Manage security deposit refunds and property-level financial items
• Support property and transaction closings with documentation and checklists
• Help with day-to-day accounting and administrative financial operations

Qualifications

• Experience with bookkeeping and accounting operations
• Familiarity with QuickBooks and property management software such as AppFolio
• Strong organizational and financial tracking skills
• Ability to manage multiple financial processes simultaneously
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
• Comfortable coordinating with banks, vendors, and external partners
