Salary Range: $52,000-60,000

The Staff Accountant Role
Key Responsibilities
- Work independently to prepare year end compilation engagements and assist with the preparation of review and audit engagements.
- Perform bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records for clients.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of GST/HST and other sales tax returns.
- Manage multiple engagements simultaneously while tracking deadlines and outstanding information requests.
- Communicate professionally with clients to obtain required information and resolve outstanding items.
Knowledge and Skills
- Completion of a University degree or College diploma with a specialization in accounting.
- CPA Designation is an asset. Ability to enroll in the program or actively working towards completion is a requirement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Well-developed problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Experience with CaseWare, Taxprep, QuickBooks Online and Desktop, and CCH iFirm
- is an asset.
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
