Job Purpose & Duties: You will play an essential role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate will:
- Prepare and analyze financial and statistical reports for leadership, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders, highlighting program performance, internal controls, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support continuous enhancement of accounting systems and drive efficiency through clear financial communication across the organization.
- Participate in contract and payment negotiations with external parties.
- Review and approve financial transactions; support budgeting processes; and monitor construction payments, bond status, cash balances, and investments.
- Maintain detailed financial records and assist with regulatory reporting, including tax filings and Medicaid reports.
- Provide financial data and analysis to inform leadership decisions and assist in audit preparation and coordination with external auditors.
- Collaborate with the CFO and IT team to improve systems integration and financial reporting tools.
- Perform related duties and contribute to committees as assigned.
- Minimum of three years accounting experience with a bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university. CPA desired.
- Experience working with government programs and the various reporting requirements associated with those contractual relationships. Knowledge of regulations (i.e., Medicaid, HUD, insurance, etc.).
- Senior living in particular Life Lease and Assisted Living experience accounting desired.

- Communicates effectively across written, verbal, public speaking, and non-verbal forms, always with a positive and respectful approach.

- Applies solid knowledge of business and financial management, with the ability to utilize and train others on computer-based systems that support learning and operations.
- Shows genuine interest in working with older adults and a growing understanding of the aging process.
