Staff Accountant

OVERVIEW

The Staff Accountant will possess an in-depth understanding of accounting principles.  Assist in month-end and year-end close.  The Staff Account must be detail oriented, excellent at oral and written communication, accurate, and keen to develop a broad understanding of the business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with Purchasing, Payables and Receiving functions
• Assist with the development and improvement of processes
• Assist in the monthly close process including quarterly and year-end procedures
• Assist with financial audits and tax requests
• Prepare and design ad hoc reports and analyses, as required
• Participate in projects, group initiatives, implementations, and system upgrades
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience preferred
• 0-3 years of accounting experience
• Knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and internal controls
• ERP experience (MS Dynamics preferred)
• Intermediate Excel skills and other Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Power Point, and others)

• Experience in the manufacturing industry preferred but not required
• A self-starter / self-motivated who is eager to learn, work independently with minimal supervision

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interpret/communicate results
• Highly organized, detail oriented with ability to multitask and prioritize activities

LOCATION:

• Hybrid role: 3 days on-site in Belle Glade, FL and the option of 2 days remote
