Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the controller
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements
- Maintain the chart of accounts
- Assist in the month end close outs
- Highlight anomalies in the financials
- Assist in project closeout process
- Make sure KPIs are being met
- Monitor complete accounting cycle including but not limited to AP, AR, Payroll, and Banking
- Ensure closeouts are being conducted in a timely manner (monthly, quarterly, and yearly)
- Ensure bookkeeping is done accurately and timely
- Advise and suggest on process refinement
- Submit Credit Applications
- Setting up of new customers and jobs in Quickbooks per the company’s guidelines
- Ensure correct cost codes are being used for all transactions

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Netsuite) and ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
