- Perform daily accounting tasks such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger.
- Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Help implement and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure data integrity.
- Assist with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, including invoicing, payments, and collections.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to support business decision-making.
- Work closely with senior accounting staff during audits and assist in preparing necessary documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, supporting tax advisors as needed.
- Contribute to the optimization of accounting systems and processes, including automation initiatives.
- Stay updated on accounting standards and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience; public accounting experience is a plus.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and basic financial reporting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to collaborate and support team goals.
- Primarily performed in an office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
- Regular use of accounting software, spreadsheets, and other office equipment.
- May require extended hours during month-end, quarter-end, year-end close, audits, and other critical reporting periods.
- Frequent communication and collaboration with internal departments, external auditors, vendors, and business partners.
- Requires the ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to remain stationary for extended periods and occasionally lift or move office materials weighing up to 15 pounds.
