Performs general accounting activities. Assists in the preparation of financial statements. Maintains and assures the accuracy of accounting records.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
- Monthly account analysis of various general ledger accounts.
- Prepares month-end journal entries.
- Maintains and prepares various amortizations, accruals, and recurring entries
- Reconciles and maintains records for intercompany Accounts Payable
- Reconciles and maintains records for rents and leases for buildings and equipment
- Prepares audit schedules.
- Prepare payroll entries
- Prepares monthly, quarterly, and yearly BPC packages for Amada North America, Inc.
- Assists in the preparation on monthly, quarterly, and yearly BPC packages for Amada America, Inc.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
NON- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assists in special accounting projects, as needed.
SKILLS:
- 10-key by touch
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
- Attention to Detail
- Experience with Syteline is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently and in a teamwork setting
WORK ENVIORNMENT:
- Onsite in Buena Park office Monday - Friday
- Cubicle within Accounting office
PAY RANGE:
- Staring at $63,000.00 (NON-EXEMPT)
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
- Division Accounting Manager
SUBORDINATE STAFF:
- None
KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Minimum 1-2 years of similar experience as a Staff Accountant preferred
TRAVEL
- Very little travel
