Staff Accountant 
Location: Remote

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Responsibilities vary depending on the specific corporate function but include:

• Perform month-end close responsibilities, including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, financial statement analytics
• Ensure that company financial records are maintained in compliance with company policies and US GAAP
• Assist Financial Services’ commission team in ensuring proper revenue recognition and accurate payment to the region’s producers/wealth managers
• Responsible for the proper allocation of expenses across various firms within the Financial Services region
• Maintain cash reporting for various firms on a weekly and monthly basis
• Collaborate with firm personnel and operation leads to interpret financial results and provide insight into financial statement transactions/variations
• Work with the Financial Services team to ensure successful completion of annual audit as well as other regulatory reporting requirements
• Support the corporate finance department with special projects as needed
• Implement process improvements, as directed

Qualifications

What You Bring 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Must be comfortable in General Ledger system and familiar with accrual accounting
• Excellent communication, organization, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and proactive approach
• Advanced Excel skills

Additional Information

Compensation:
Salary range: $70,000 – $85,000 per year, with performance bonus potential

Work Model:
This role is Remote – expectation to travel to Deerfield, IL (5%-15%)
