This role assists in the month-end and year-end close processes, prepares financial reports, and ensures compliance with company policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to grow, and has foundational experience in a professional accounting environment. Key Responsibilities·       Prepare and post journal entries for daily and monthly transactions·       Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis·       Assist in identifying and resolving discrepancies in account balances·       Support the monthly close process, including accruals and prepaid schedules·       Prepare bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations·       Assist with year-end audit preparation and provide supporting documentation to auditors·       Maintain supporting schedules for fixed assets, depreciation, and amortization·       Ensure all transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP·       Assist with sales tax filings and other regulatory compliance requirementsRequirementsEducation•         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting•         CPA candidate or intent to pursue CPA licensure preferredExperience•         1-2 years of accounting experience post college with a public and/or corporate organization Technical Skills•         Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, basic formulas)•         Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite or similar ERP•         Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Teams)Core Competencies•         Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy•         Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (debits, credits, accruals)•         Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment•         Strong written and verbal communication skills•         Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilitiesWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
