Position Overview
Provide support to The United States Coast Guard (USCG), CG-AIR’s (to include the Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Aviation Projects Acquisition Center (APAC), and Office of Aeronautical Engineering (CG-AIR-E)) 
 
Essential Job Function
  • Provide training, guidance, and job-shadowing for contractor Procurement Technicians
  • Handle complex or high-value small purchase procurement actions
  • Develop and maintain training materials and procurement templates for small purchase procurements in assigned product lines or divisions
  • Assist COCO with procurement operations for CG-AIR
  • Offer technical guidance to staff on unusual or infrequent procurement situations
  • Consult with KO, SKO, CS, and/or COR as required 
Minimum Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Read, write, speak, and comprehend English
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic arithmetic
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
  • Ability to work with minimal Government oversight
  • Knowledge of procurement regulations, procedures, operations, and programs related to one or more procurement phases or functions
  • Knowledge of steps and procedures required to provide a full range of procurement support for recurring and standardized purchases for commonly used supplies and services
 
Desired Qualifications
 
  • 1 year experience in USCG procedures
  • Proficiency in ALMIS
  • Proficiency in AMMIS
