Why Ryan?

The Property Tax Senior Manager ("Senior Manager") oversees Managers/Staff to provide property tax compliance, consulting, and appeal services for assigned clients. The Senior Manager maintains existing client relationships and focuses on property tax management and minimization opportunities. The Senior Manager leads the team in preparing annual property tax filings, reviews and evaluates appeal positions, makes appeal recommendations and manages the appeal process for Ryan clients. This work includes enforcing policies, standards and guidelines, researching tax issues, reviewing valuations of real and personal property, negotiating settlements related to assessment reduction, and the preparation and presentation of assessment appeals and supporting litigation. The Senior Manager is responsible for creating positive team member experiences, which lead to excellent client service and drive revenue and profit for the Firm.
The ideal candidate will have analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with strong people skills. The successful candidate will be effective in researching issues, reconciling databases, and completing detailed calculations. *This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader to establish and grow our Real Property Tax practice in the St. Louis market. Preference for candidates with a general certified appraisal designation in Missouri and CMI or CCIM property tax designation. This is a hybrid position and will require in-office attendance two-three times per week.*

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research. 

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver’s license required.  Manager should maintain professional designations such as Certified Member of the Institute (CMI), and Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), or equivalent, and keep active in professional organizations on a local and national level.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position directly supervises employees in the Property Tax practice and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Firm's policies and applicable laws.

Work Environment:
•    Standard indoor working environment.
•    Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
•    Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm in person and via e-mail and telephone.
•    Position requires regular interaction with clients and interface with external vendors in person and via e-mail and telephone. 
•    Independent travel requirement: Regional travel for site visits and hearings approximately 10%.
