JOB DESCRIPTION:
SUMMARY
This leadership position is responsible for coordinating the enterprise-wide General Accounting, Cost and Inventory Accounting, Fixed Assets, and Benefit Plan Accounting functions to ensure integration of activities and the long-term effectiveness of the functions. As a key leader in the Enterprise Finance team this individual will collaborate with various leaders including Enterprise Reporting, Treasury, FP&A, Tax, Internal Audit, Shared Services, Business Process Transformation, Legal, and HR Total Rewards. This individual will align the team structure to meet the requirements of the existing departments more effectively and efficiently. This role requires the ability to provide strategic leadership in all aspects of these functions and provide consultative advice and recommendations in benefit plan financial matters while helping develop the financial savvy of non-finance business partners.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversight of the Enterprise Benefit Plan Accounting and Reporting functions and activities. Direct and encourage independent decision making in the preparation and analysis of accurate and timely financial information for corporate benefit plans in accordance with GAAP. Provide strategic leadership and recommendations for benefit plan design and assumption changes. Communicate and educate benefits partners and the executive leadership team regarding complex concepts and financial implications.
Responsible for the oversight of enterprise accounting activities, ensuring the accurate, timely and proper recording of enterprise financial information in accordance with GAAP. Instill a process-oriented culture that ensures compliance with internal controls.
Provide strategic leadership to the corporate accounting function by driving organizational efficiency through process design and continuous improvement initiatives. Lead, develop, and motivate a team of leaders and individual contributors while prioritizing work, allocating resources effectively, and empowering independent decision-making on moderately complex accounting matters.
Focus on providing solutions for existing financial accounting activities and ensuring all are in compliance with accepted standards and practices while maintaining the integrity of financial data and internal controls.
Manage the functions' support of strategic and annual planning efforts. Provide recommendations to minimize expense and cash flow impacts. Areas of benefit plan support include ESOT, Pension and OPEB, Medical, Incurred but not reported claims, Dental, Paid Time Off, 401K, Deferred Compensation Plans, etc. Support related to Cost and Inventory areas include Capitalized Labor and Overhead, LIFO Reserves, Inventory Write-off and Inventory Reserve, Material Cost Variances, Operations Cost Transfers, etc.
Act as liaison, business partner and strategic thought partner to other corporate groups including Internal Audit, Tax, Treasury, Enterprise Reporting, Shared Services, Business Process Transformation, and HR Total Rewards. Significant partnership with the benefits team on benefits design considerations including but not limited to the financial impacts. Engagement in broader finance strategies through participation on the Finance Steering Committee. Proficiently articulate information with the ability to present ideas and reasoned arguments clearly and concisely.
Recruit, hire, coach, train, evaluate and manage the General Accounting, Cost and Inventory Accounting, Fixed Assets, and Benefit Plan Accounting and Reporting teams. Demonstrate strong leadership skills with a focus on coaching and developing the team by providing developmental opportunities on the job and by fostering an environment that encourages growth and learning. Provide work direction and coaching to managers of others and to individual contributors. Lead cross functional teams as required
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Bachelor degree in Accounting required; MBA a plus. CPA preferred.
12+ years related accounting experience, including 5+ years of proven ability to lead and develop a finance team
Viewed as a valued strategic financial colleague among proven financial professionals
Proven ability to provide expert and comprehensive guidance to finance and other business partners
Proficient assessment skills relative to the enrichment of “talent” in the organization
Effective communicator with both financial and non-financial managers with ability to engage and energize
Excellent collaboration skills with an inclusive, consultative and solutions driven approach
Results orientation with ability to influence and build relationships; must be comfortable in a very visible role
COMPENSATION
Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process.
PAY RANGE:
$134,150.00 - $214,650.00

PROFIT SHARING: In 2026 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,600 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit Sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
