Compensation

The compensation target range for this role is:

$142,500 - $150,000

Job Summary

The Senior FP&A Manager is a strategic leadership role that plays a critical part in shaping the financial future of the organization. This position leads the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis. The Senior FP&A Manager collaborates closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to provide valuable insights, support decision-making, and drive the achievement of financial and strategic objectives.

Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the development and execution of the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, working collaboratively with department heads and senior management. Provide insightful analysis of financial results, variances, and trends to inform decision-making and support strategic initiatives. 

  • Financial Modeling and Strategic Planning: Build and maintain sophisticated financial models to support long-term planning, scenario analysis, and business decision-making. Collaborate with executive leadership to develop strategic plans, assess growth opportunities, and evaluate potential investments. 

  • Performance Measurement and Reporting: Develop and produce accurate and timely financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and key stakeholders. Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business performance and provide actionable insights. 

  • Budget Management: Monitor budget performance throughout the fiscal year, identifying risks and opportunities, and recommending adjustments as needed. Collaborate with department heads to track spending, manage costs, and ensure alignment with budgetary goals. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various departments, including finance, operations, sales, and marketing, to understand their financial needs and provide support in achieving financial targets. 

  • Financial Strategy and Decision Support: Provide financial expertise and recommendations to support strategic initiatives, new product launches, mergers, acquisitions, and other business projects. 

  • Team Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor a team of FP&A professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and professional growth. 

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance FP&A processes, tools, and systems to streamline reporting, increase efficiency, and improve accuracy. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master's or MBA preferred). 

  • Proven experience (typically 7+ years) in financial planning and analysis, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role. 

  • Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. 

  • Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and advanced Excel skills. 

  • Experience with financial planning software, ERP systems, and data visualization tools. 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. 

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights. 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. 

  • Leadership abilities with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams. 

  • Proactive, results-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
