Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst, Strategic Finance, working in collaboration with and in support of the firm’s strategic initiatives, will serve as a key resource on the Strategic Finance FP&A team and will play an integral role in developing and enhancing profitability analysis, including revenue and margin budgets and forecasts. The individual will translate complex financial, operational, and staffing data into clear insights that help leadership understand performance drivers, evaluate trade-offs, and make informed decisions. This role will lead recurring analysis, strengthen financial models and planning tools, and help ensure projections are accurate, timely, and action oriented.

In addition, this position will serve as a mentor and technical resource to financial analysts across the Strategic Finance FP&A team, helping to improve the quality, consistency, and scalability of the team’s work product. This individual is an experienced financial analyst looking to grow into a manager or people leader role.

Primary focus: profitability, revenue / margin forecasts and annual budget cycle, financial modeling, capacity planning, and analyst mentorship.

This position can sit in our New York, Short Hills, or Reston office and offers a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities        

Desired Skills   

Advanced financial modeling skills, including the ability to build, improve, audit, and explain complex models with clear assumptions, outputs, and controls. Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into concise business insights and recommendations. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including forecasting, dashboarding, data visualization, and/or planning tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create executive-ready materials and tailor messaging to finance, business, and leadership audiences. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment. Collaborative, growth-oriented mindset with the judgment, patience, and credibility to mentor analysts and build trusted working relationships across finance and business teams.

Experience in the following is preferred: Experience in professional services, legal, consulting, or similarly complex business environment. Experience mentoring, coaching, or serving as a technical resource to other financial analysts. Experience with investment analysis, profitability modeling, private equity, venture capital, or business case development. Experience with ROI, profitability analysis, pricing economics, or partner/timekeeper productivity. Experience developing capacity, staffing, leverage, or demand models to support resource planning and operational decision-making. Ability to create and update Power BI dashboards.

Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and build credibility across finance, strategy, operations, and business teams. Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to manage recurring deliverables and high-priority ad hoc work simultaneously. Sound professional judgment and discretion in handling sensitive financial, market, personnel, and business information. Familiarity with tools such as SQL, Python, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Claude, or similar analytics and automation platforms is a plus.

Up to 10% travel, depending on location and business needs. The Sr Financial Analyst may be expected to travel to the Reston, VA, Short Hills, NJ, and New York City offices for business meetings.

The firm’s expected hiring range for this position is $98,990 - $137,126 per year depending on the candidate’s geographic market location.

The compensation offered for employment will also be dependent on other factors including the candidate’s experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
