Job-Specific Responsibilities
- Support monthly physician compensation model administration, including calculations, accruals, and variance analysis.
- Assist with the annual budget process related to physician compensation, providing modeling and forecasting support.
- Perform fair market value (FMV) reviews and prepare survey reporting to support compliance with Stark Law and Anti-Kickback regulations.
- Administer quality and performance incentive programs, including data collection, calculation, and physician reporting.
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate proposed compensation arrangements, productivity scenarios, and contract changes.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and presentations for physicians, department leaders, and executive leadership.
- Partner with Accounting to ensure compensation accruals and payments are recorded accurately and timely.
- Lead and contribute to special projects related to physician compensation, contracting, and practice finance.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive compensation and physician data at all times.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Key Competencies
- Financial modeling and analytical reasoning
- Working knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworks (Stark, Anti-Kickback, FMV principles)
- Effective written and verbal communication, including the ability to translate complex financial concepts for clinical audiences
- Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information
Experience/Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting required.
- 5+ years of Accounting or Finance experience required.
- Minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience required.

Location:
This position allows flexibility to work both in office and remotely. The incumbent will be expected to be available for periodic travel to OrthoVirginia locations or for business travel to other locations.
