POSITION SUMMARY This position independently supports the IT/Technology Finance Director in the financial oversight, analysis, reconciliation, reporting, and administration of Montefiore’s Shared Services functions namely IT, Legal, Human Resources, etc. The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for Shared Services-related financial operations, budgeting support, reconciliations and financial reporting encompassing headcount analysis, OpEx vendor spend and CapEx project maintenance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Planning and Reporting - Create monthly & quarterly income and expense reports (P&L) by Shared Service function.  Analyze budget to actual variances. Drill down on vendor level detail. Prepare monthly vendor reports. Review trend and help management in financial planning & forecasting. (Key attributes needed) have good working knowledge of INFOR and StrataJazz; advanced Excel Skills and experience working with large data sets.

Operational Finance – partner with operators to maintain and organize key contracts and vendor analysis.  Analyze OpEx transactions by expense type, renewal timing and cost composition against budgets/operating models. (Key attributes needed) have an understanding of financial reporting; experience with data modeling ; attention to details.

Create Ad-Hoc reports and carryout additional duties as assigned. Serve as back-up/coverage person in relation to team dynamics/prioritization of deliverables, etc.  (Key attributes needed) able to work on multiple assignments simultaneously; check data for errors; be able to identify problem areas and suggest for solutions.
