SENIOR ACCOUNTANT - ASSURANCE

Currently we are looking for a seasoned accounting professional for our Senior Accountant – Assurance role. The Senior Accountant is a strategic position that will help maintain the firm’s standard of unparalleled service to our clients, as we help them navigate the many financial aspects of their business. As Senior Accountant in Assurance you will be responsible for providing financial reporting, consulting, and other specialized services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
What you will do:
• Follow the firm’s and the department’s policies and procedures.
• Understand rules, regulations, and code of professional conduct of the AICPA.
• Provide consulting and outsourcing services to entities.
• Prepare workpapers, adjusted trial balances, depreciation schedules and financial statements.
• Know and understand the reason behind the firm's and their division’s policies and procedures.
• Possess technical knowledge sufficient to perform work with very little supervision.
• Begin acquiring the skills necessary to develop quality client relationships and loyalty.
• Begin to efficiently provide enhancements to the end product delivered to clients.
• Develop a command of GAAP, other comprehensive bases of accounting, unique or specialized accounting principles, and financial statement presentations.
• Assume responsibility for efficiently completing financial statement engagements.
• Obtain a thorough understanding of generally accepted auditing standards and/or common audit procedures and techniques.
• Become familiar with tax laws and regulations.
• Learn and grow from direct on the job coaching and growth and development opportunities.
• Display professional behaviors in and out of the workplace.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Successful candidates will have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA license preferred
• Two to three (2-3) years of public accounting experience in attest and assurance functions
• General understanding of accounting principles
• Strong time management, communication, interpersonal skills, team collaboration, problem solving skills, and the ability to manage concurrent projects
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite products
