About The Opportunity
The Sr. Associate, Inventory Accountant will Manage end-to-end inventory accuracy across warehouse and ERP systems. This person will act as a key partner to Accounting, Procurement, and Operations—driving efficiency in PO/receipt processing, standard cost maintenance, BOM integrity, and month-end financial closes.
The Impact You Will Make
Transaction Processing & Reconciliation
Data Integrity: Import, review, and process purchase orders. Verify that quantities, units of measure, and item mappings are accurate before posting to the ERP.
System Alignment: Perform regular reconciliations between warehouse management systems and the ERP to ensure inventory transactions match across platforms.
Cross-Functional Resolution: Partner with Accounts Payable and Procurement to investigate and resolve discrepancies in pricing, quantities, and receipts.
Cost Accounting & Variance Analysis
Standard Cost Management: Execute periodic standard price refreshes and cost rolls in the ERP system. Calculate, analyze and document variances between old and new standard costs for management review.
BOM Maintenance: Partner with the Engineering and Production team to create and maintain BOM records; audit component quantities, substitution rules, and UOM assignments for accuracy.
Data Validation: Audit item costs against historical purchases and flag anomalies prior to activation. Audit component quantities, substitution rules, and UOM assignments within the BOM to prevent production and accounting errors.
Month-End Close & Reporting
Financial Close Support: Assist with the month-end inventory close process, including, but not limited to, preparation of reconciliation schedules, inventory valuation reports, and variance analyses.
Inventory Insights: Generate and analyze inventory health metrics (aging, turnover, and on-hand valuation reports).
