The Senior FP&A Analyst leads complex financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to support strategic decision-making for assigned business areas. This role drives the month-end close process, delivers insightful variance analysis, and enhances financial models and reporting frameworks. It also oversees ERP metadata accuracy and supports continuous process improvement across FP&A workflows. In addition, the Senior Analyst mentors Financial Analysts and serves as a key liaison between analysts, management, and cross-functional partners to ensure alignment and effective communication.

Responsibilities
- Conducts monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analyses for assigned business areas, delivering accurate, well-supported insights that inform leadership decision-making.
- Supports month-end close activities that are difficult and sometimes complex, including volume estimation, accrual development, and reconciliation review to ensure integrity of financial results.
- Performs advanced variance analysis, interpreting results against budget, forecast, and prior year; synthesizes findings into clear, actionable commentary tailored for leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Develops and maintains comprehensive annual budgets and integrated forecast models; ensures alignment with strategic and operational objectives.
- Designs, enhances, and governs financial reporting templates and dashboards supporting planning cycles, performance reviews, and operational reporting.
- Identifies, proposes, and drives opportunities for process improvement, automation, and reporting efficiency within FP&A workflows.
- Executes complex ad hoc analyses and provides analytical leadership on special projects, strategic initiatives, and executive-level reporting needs.
- Serves as a mentor and day‑to‑day resource for Financial Analysts, providing guidance, training, and developmental feedback to support skill growth and analytical quality.
- Acts as a liaison between analysts, management, and cross‑functional partners, ensuring effective communication, alignment on priorities, and consistent delivery of financial insights.
- Oversees the structure, maintenance, and accuracy of ERP metadata for assigned business areas to ensure consistent and reliable financial reporting.

- Keen sense of awareness about identifying potential challenges, risk issues, inconsistencies, and opportunities
- Proficient with MS Office Suite and Hyperion Essbase/Smartview
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree from four-year College or University in Accounting or Finance required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a large, complex business environment in Accounting or Finance required.
- Previous experience in healthcare is preferred
