ABOUT THE POSITION
This accounting role will contribute to the continued growth of Linxup. The Senior Accountant will be primarily responsible for executing monthly financial close entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and departmental financial reports. This position will actively support the financial close process, assist with bank covenant compliance, and contribute to systems enhancements and process improvements that optimize the finance function. The Senior Accountant will work collaboratively with the accounting team, supporting cross-functional reporting and analysis. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Execute monthly close procedures, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
- Ensure proper accounting for prepaid expenses, fixed assets, liabilities, and equity
- Support bank covenant compliance by preparing and reviewing monthly compliance reports
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal stakeholders
- Analyze and document financial variances to trends/prior periods, budget, and forecast
- Assist the Financial Planning and Analysis team in preparing forecasts and budgets
- Prepare monthly sales commissions analysis and ensure timely accounting and payment
- Support accounts disbursements processes, including cash forecasting, accounts payable, and expense reimbursements
- Assist with sales and use tax process and compliance
- Assist in completing annual business registrations
- Participate in financial system implementation requirements and testing
- Identify and support process improvement initiatives
- Assist with financial audits and tax compliance matters as needed
- Support bi-monthly payroll analysis to ensure accuracy
- Other ad hoc projects and analyses as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA preferred
- 3–6 years of progressive accounting/finance experience
- Highly detail oriented and organized in work
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service focus
- Ability to operate independently with moderate direction, accomplishing objectives with minimal daily oversight
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and third parties (auditors, etc.)
