Our client, a well-established organization within the insurance industry, is seeking an experienced Excess & Surplus Underwriting Compliance Manager to support and oversee compliance operations within their specialty lines division. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring adherence to surplus lines regulations, supporting operational workflows, and partnering with internal departments to maintain compliance standards across multiple states. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and has a strong understanding of E&S compliance, regulatory filings, and insurance operations. Strong preference for the candidate to reside in the Cincinnati, OH area. Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee compliance-related processes for excess & surplus lines business
Monitor regulatory requirements and state-specific surplus lines guidelines
Partner with underwriting, operations, and leadership teams to ensure compliance standards are maintained
Assist with audits, regulatory inquiries, and compliance reporting
Review surplus lines filings, taxes, affidavits, and supporting documentation for accuracy
Maintain compliance resources, procedures, and internal documentation
Support licensing and regulatory tracking for agents and brokers

Qualifications

5+ years of regulatory, legal, and P&C insurance underwriting compliance experience
Strong understanding of Excess & Surplus lines operations is preferred
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent industry experience

Salary and Benefits

$90,000 - $120,000+ annual base salary plus bonus
