Specialist, Payroll

Primary Job Duties: – Includes but is not limited to:

• Process end-to-end U.S. multi-state payroll with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Calculate and verify payroll adjustments.
• Process and distribute all applicable payroll reports.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries professionally and timely maintaining strict confidentiality of payroll and employee information.
• Provide general administrative and office support to management and operations.
• Review and process all incoming paperwork/electronic transactions.
• Write routing reports and correspondence.
• Review new or changed pay rates in payroll register or computer files.
• Administer garnishments, child support orders, and wage deductions across jurisdictions.
• Post files pertaining to hours worked, deductions, benefits, gratuities and direct deposits into the computer and payroll system in a timely, accurate manner.
• Ensure the integrity of all financial data produced in payroll.
• Review system data to determine names, rates of pay and occupations of newly hired employees and changes in wage rates and occupations of employees on payroll.
• Maintain all files and electronically archive Payroll Department reports/files.
• Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
• Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Competencies: Includes but is not limited to:

• At least one year of previous Payroll experience in a similar or related field.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (example Word, Excel).
• Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English.
• Polished appearance and demeanor.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
• At least 18 years of age.

Preferred: 

• Previous experience processing payroll using Workday.
• Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:

• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
