Unless specifically stated otherwise, this role is "On-Site" at the location detailed in the job post.Role Summary/Purpose:We are looking for a Specialist/Associate Procurement Manager to join our Hill’s Pet Nutrition Direct Procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous supply, competitive cost, quality, and service of divisional materials. Reporting to the Global Procurement Director, this role works closely with Divisional stakeholders and suppliers to track and report progress in support of Hill’s strategic goals.The position title for this role (Specialist or Associate Manager) will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience and qualifications.Responsibilities:Strategic Supply Assurance: Secure the assigned strategic supplier base to guarantee the consistent, reliable supply of quality ingredients at a competitive cost structure.Supplier Performance Management: Track, monitor, and drive key supplier performance indicators (KPIs) across quality, service, and costs, implementing robust corrective actions when required.Commercial Negotiation: Lead and effectively execute negotiations to secure favorable commercial terms and conditions.Market & Category Intelligence: Build deep sourcing category expertise to provide the organization with actionable market and financial insights.Stakeholder Collaboration: Drive effective, trust-based relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure the seamless alignment and delivery of business plans.Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and deliver professional updates and strategic presentations to key internal stakeholders as needed.Supplier Governance & Escalation: Engage proactively with suppliers to confirm action plans, drive performance discussions, report progress against goals, and systematically escalate operational challenges as needed.Additional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesRequired Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Sourcing, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.Experience: 4+ years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain operations.Technical Skills: Experience with data gathering and analysis, with a keen understanding of digital systems and experience using AI tools. Preferred Qualifications:An understanding of related Ag Commodities / Pet Food industry would be an assetAn advanced degree (MBA) or professional certification (CPM or CPSM) is desirableStrong functional competency in Supply Chain operationsCompensation and BenefitsSalary Range $86,000.00 - $137,000.00 USDPay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
