Your new team
At the heart of the European Ahold Delhaize organization sits the European Finance team to drive support for the European team, that drives the alignment, consistency & clarity for our great local brands in areas of IT, shared service centers (Finance & HR), joint sourcing & the ever-changing ESG transition. The European finance team supports the brands on cross-functional projects in the past mentioned areas and drives the overall European portfolio to ensure that we deliver as Europe.

The EU&I Sourcing Finance Manager – supports the EU sourcing team and has an integral part in the “Joint Sourcing” activities that has unified certain products to be sourced centrally. The role also supports the EU merchandising team.

The role is to be a true business partner to the European sourcing team supporting them in unifying sourcing savings calculations, aligning merchandising metrics across brands, supporting the overall change agenda that sourcing is going through on a European level.

You will report to the EU& Commercial Finance Director who will help, lead and coach you in your process. You will have the possibility to own this area and can make a difference in your approach and new things you implement.

Key focus areas of your role
Your role is highly diverse and encompasses various responsibilities. Here are the key ones:

• Business partnering – be the thought finance support to the various EU sourcing and merchandizing teams
• Own the savings targets, drive the consistency and help set up new enhancements to improve and simply the process.
• Forecast & Summer Letter and EBR – align with your cross functional partners on upcoming forecast, Summer Letter & EBR goals and drive consistency
• Transparency to deliver on the forecasts – for business partners and the brands.
• Merchandizing finance – help shape the merchandizing transformation and support them in the day-to-day business
• Strong reporting and presentations of our results, as you will get exposure to the senior leadership
• Continuous improvement projects; there are great opportunities to streamline our processes and always and be the finance support in the upcoming central EU sourcing/commercial projects

• Have a Master’s degree in business, finance or economics
• At least 6 years’ of experience in Finance, and prior experience in accounting and commercial finance/sourcing Is nice to have
• Excellent Dutch and English communication skills (verbal and written)
