About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Product Manager to develop and drive product capabilities for our Tax Compliance products. Compliance is crucial to our business, and we aim to build pragmatic, compliant solutions that enhance the customer experience for both clients and talent on our marketplace. We believe excellent customer experience stems from robust platform capabilities, and this senior product manager will influence the entire stack, from platform to user experience. Developing products for multiple geographies presents challenges, and the ideal candidate will need to think and build modularly to enable and drive global compliance and go-to-market efficiency. Given the interconnected nature of tax products, this role requires a thoughtful product manager adept at proactive collaboration with various product and cross-functional leaders.

Join us in changing how the world works. Upwork is establishing an operational hub in Toronto, Canada, expected to be fully operational by Q4 2026. This role will require 3 days in the office once the office is open.

This position will initially be employed through a partner to ensure a seamless hiring process while we establish the hub. Opportunities to transition to employment with Upwork may arise later, depending on business needs and other requirements. While employed by the partner, you will work as part of Upwork’s team, with access to our resources, culture, and growth opportunities. Our partner will offer competitive benefits.
