Senior Tax Manager – Construction & Real Estate Focus

Core Responsibilities
- Review and oversee complex federal, state, and multi-state tax returns
- Manage compliance for partnerships, S-corporations, C-corporations, contractors, real estate entities, and high-net-worth individuals
- Lead tax planning and advisory engagements
- Advise on construction-specific tax matters including:
- Long-term contract accounting
- Percentage-of-completion and completed contract methods
- Revenue recognition
- Cost segregation and bonus depreciation strategies
- Entity structuring and tax optimization
- Research and resolve advanced tax issues
- Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff and managers
- Review workpapers for accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
- Manage and strengthen client relationships as a trusted advisor
- Support IRS and state audit responses and notices
- Contribute to business development and firm expansion initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Active CPA license
- 7+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Strong experience reviewing complex business tax returns
- Deep knowledge of pass-through entities and multi-state taxation
- Expertise in construction and long-term contract accounting
- Proven leadership and client management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- U.S. work authorization without sponsorship
Preferred Experience
- Direct construction industry tax experience
- Familiarity with tax software such as UltraTax and Thomson Reuters tools
- Exposure to construction accounting systems
