Qogita [Ko-gi-ta] is revolutionizing wholesale procurement. We provide a one-stop shop for branded products, available in a single click at competitive prices. Our vision is to build the world’s leading global wholesale trading hub, empowering efficient distribution of goods. We didn’t just improve wholesale - we reinvented it.
We’re one of the fastest-growing B2B companies globally, backed by top investors behind companies like Facebook, Etsy, and Shopify.
Our tight-knit, highly motivated team thrives on curiosity and impact. Everyone contributes hands-on, takes initiative, and drives results. We value a strong work ethic, smart prioritization, and a relentless focus on excellence.
Requirements
We're looking for someone who can own tax end-to-end: indirect tax compliance across dozens of EU jurisdictions, transfer pricing between our entities, corporate income tax, and the rapidly evolving e-invoicing landscape. You'll be our first dedicated tax hire and the in-house expert the business relies on. This isn't a role where you review what advisors produce and sign off. It's a role where you drive the strategy, manage the advisors, and build the processes that scale with 2-3x revenue growth.
We're building proper tax compliance infrastructure for the first time. Qogita operates a B2B wholesale marketplace across 28 European countries through a three-entity corporate structure (Dutch holding, Dutch OpCo, UK OpCo). Until now, tax has been managed reactively with external advisors filling the gaps. That's no longer sufficient at our scale.
You'll report directly to the CFO and work closely with our Financial Control team and external tax advisors.
Requirements
- 7-10+ years in tax, with deep expertise in European indirect tax (VAT). Big 4 or top-tier tax advisory background strongly preferred, ideally with a subsequent move into industry
- Strong working knowledge of EU cross-border VAT: reverse charge mechanisms, supply chain structures, marketplace rules, and multi-jurisdiction registration and compliance
- Familiarity with transfer pricing principles and intercompany transaction structuring across a multi-entity group. You don't need to be a TP specialist, but you need enough depth to manage advisors effectively and challenge their work
- Experience navigating the EU e-invoicing landscape: Peppol, SDI (Italy), and the broader ViDA direction. Bonus if you've been through an e-invoicing implementation
- Corporate income tax literacy across NL and UK jurisdictions
- Experience in high-growth, multi-entity businesses (Series B-C stage or similar complexity). You're comfortable with ambiguity and can build from scratch
- Strong communication skills. You can explain tax risk and trade-offs to non-tax stakeholders (CFO, CEO, board) clearly and concisely
- You default to first principles, not "how we did it at my last firm"
- Marketplace or B2B platform experience
- Experience with EU tax regimes
- Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP tax modules
- Experience supporting fundraising due diligence from a tax perspective
