Key Responsibilities
- Prepare tax returns for diverse entity types, including C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, LLCs, trusts, estates, and individuals.
- Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and identify tax-saving opportunities.
- Maintain frequent communication with clients to foster long-term relationships and provide exceptional service
- Coordinate and oversee work performed by team members to deliver high-quality service to clients.
- Ensure adherence to firm procedures, legal requirements, and client specifications.
- Mentor and develop junior staff to enhance their professional growth and skills.
- Identify and capitalize on cross-selling opportunities to enhance client relationships and expand service offerings.
- Actively participate in internal project teams to support firm-wide initiatives and objectives.
- Proactively identify learning gaps and regularly review development plans with management.
- Attend ongoing training and development programs organized by the firm to enhance skills and stay updated on industry trends.
- Hold and maintain relevant licenses and memberships to uphold professional standards and legal requirements.
- Stay informed about financial trends and legislation, continuously improving skills, and meeting minimum CPE requirements.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelors in Accounting or related field
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in public accounting with focus in taxation
- Masters degree in taxation or related field preferred
- Eligibility to be licensed as a CPA or Enrolled Agent required or LLM in Tax
- CPA certification is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Accounting software (Such as CCH products; ProAxcess and FX Engagement)
- Knowledge of IRS codes and entity tax matters
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Knowledge of individual, corporation and partnership tax rules
- Interest in learning and doing international tax work
- Experience preparing tax returns
- Experience solving complicated tax issues
- Solid understanding of advanced accounting issues
- Strong analytical aptitude and application
- Strong written and oral communication skills
Compensation & Benefits
This role offers a competitive base salary along with a comprehensive benefits package. Salary ranges for U.S.-based positions are determined by geographic location and fall into one of three pay zones, which reflect the cost of labor in that area. The anticipated salary ranges for this position are outlined below and are subject to change:
- US Payzone 1: $92,800 - $116,000
- US Payzone 2: $84,000 - $105,000
- US Payzone 3: $76,000 = $95,000
