Title: Senior Tax Associate, Real Estate
Location: Irvine, CA (or Orange County, CA) – hybrid (50% in-office)
Salary: $80K–$122K base (DOE)
Overview
A growing public accounting firm is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to support real estate-focused clients. This role offers a mix of tax compliance, research, and client advisory, with opportunities to contribute to planning strategies and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and S- and C-corporations
- Apply knowledge of partnership taxation (Subchapter K) in client engagements
- Identify, research, and resolve common tax issues
- Support tax planning initiatives and identify opportunities for client optimization
- Assist in developing tax strategies aligned with client goals
- Contribute to improving service delivery and internal processes
- Support practice leadership with planning, budgeting, and strategic initiatives
- Mentor and coach junior team members
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of public accounting tax experience (U.S. compliance/consulting)
- Experience working with multiple entity types
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and build client relationships
Preferred
- Master's in Taxation or related field
- CPA or progress toward certification
