Senior Tax and Audit

HornBill has a client is one of the largest, well-known CPA firms in the country in Charlotte, North Carolina (NC). Summary: They are seeking talented Senior Assurance Associates. If you are looking to advance your career with a growing company that will support, you each step of the way this is one phone screen or interview you should take. The Senior Assurance Associates should have experience with preparing financial statements with disclosures, applying basic areas of GAAP as necessary and documenting, validating, testing and assessing various control systems. Public accounting firms are not known to have life work balance, casual work environments, summer Fridays and fully stocked kitchens, but this one does and will talk to you about it on the interview!

• Bachelor's in Accounting or relevant field required
• Master's in Accounting or relevant field required
• CPA, CPA candidate preferred
• Two or more years of public accounting experience, required, preferably within a financial assurance role
• Basic understanding and experience planning and coordinating the stages to perform an audit of a basic public and/or private company
• Ability and willingness to travel, as needed, required
• Knowledge of internal accounting controls and professional standards and regulations (GAAP, GAAS, Sarbanes-Oxley, etc.)
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite
• Strong communication skills
• Able to work within a team
