Otter Tail Corporation is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Income Tax, this role supports the company’s income tax accounting and compliance activities and is well suited for a professional who enjoys working independently, managing defined responsibilities, and being a trusted resource to assist others in the organization. We are an established organization with sound processes in place but always looking for new and improved ways to accomplish our mission as well.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supporting U.S. federal & state income tax accounting, compliance, and reporting.
- Lead and advise other company personnel on income tax accounting matters.
- Coordinate state audit information requests as needed.
- Administer tax compliance software.
- Complete and file other miscellaneous tax returns (ex: excise tax and franchise tax).
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years’ experience in an income tax or similar role preferred.
- Familiarity with federal and state income tax concepts and U.S. GAAP.
- Prior experience working in tax preparation software preferred.
- Enjoys working independently and having clear and measurable deliverables.
- Finds professional fulfillment in providing accurate and timely work.
- Communicates clearly and professionally, primarily with others internally.

- The expected base compensation for this role is $79,980-$110,000 annually. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
