Senior Tax Accountant

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Location: This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Our team works closely together in person, making this a strong fit for someone who wants to live and build their career in the Mountain Home area. Remote work is not available.

Note: Candidates must have 2+ years of tax experience preparing S corporation, individual, and partnership returns. Approximately 5+ years of directly relevant tax experience is preferred. CPA licensure is preferred but not required.

Job Description

• Prepare and review federal and state individual, S corporation, partnership, and other business tax returns.
• Analyze client financial records and tax documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Research tax issues and identify practical tax planning opportunities for clients.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax questions, documentation, planning needs, and filing requirements.
• Assist clients with year-round tax planning and business advisory needs.
• Help resolve tax notices and other client tax matters.
• Maintain accurate, organized workpapers and supporting documentation.
• Stay current on changes to federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with other tax professionals on complex engagements and deadlines.
• Use modern tax and accounting technology to improve efficiency and client service.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of directly relevant tax preparation experience required.
• Experience with S corporation, individual, and partnership tax returns required.
• 5+ years of tax experience strongly preferred.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state taxation.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team.
• Must be willing to work full-time on-site in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
