Responsibilities/Duties:

·     Prepare and review federal and multi-state tax returns including 1040 (including high-net-worth & pass-through entity owners), 1065, 1120, 1120S, and 990

·      Manage a high volume of returns with a strong commitment to accuracy and detail

·      Verify the accuracy and completeness of workpapers, documentation, and tax filings prior to submission

·      Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations

·      Analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities

·      Collaborate with tax, wealth management and operations teams to support seamless client service

·      Train and mentor junior staff on tax compliance and processes as needs arise

·      Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulations

·      Engage in professional development regularly while staying abreast of industry trends and regulations

·      Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive company and client information

·     Must possess excellent communication skills and exchange information with others accurately

·     Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

·     Exceptional organization in managing time with a strong attention to detail while having the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines

Required Skills, Education and Experience:

·     CPA or EA, preferred

·     Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred

·     Minimum of 3 years’ tax experience

·     Experience with HNW clients, pass-through entities, S Corps and partnerships, required

·     Multi-state taxation, complex returns, preferred

·     Experience mentoring junior staff, preferred

·     Valid Driver’s License, required

·     Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Calendar, PowerPoint, required

·     Proficient in UltraTax, Onvio, QBO and QBD, preferred
