Senior Tax Accountant

Responsibilities/Duties:

·     Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations

·     Prepare, review, and file complex tax returns, including but not limited to corporate, individual, and partnership returns

·     Train and mentor junior staff on tax compliance and processes

·     Provide guidance on tax planning and optimization strategies for clients

·     Analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities

·     Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations

·     Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive company and client information

·     Engage in professional development regularly while staying abreast of industry trends and regulations

·     Must possess excellent communication skills and exchange information with others accurately

·     Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

·     Exceptional organization in managing time with the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, with a keen attention to detail, and meet strict deadlines while working independently or with a team

·     Apply critical thinking skills to solve complex problems while supporting the growth of a team

Required Skills, Education and Experience:

·     Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation, preferred

·     Bachelor's degree in related field, required

·     At least six years tax experience, preferred

·     Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop and Online, preferred

·     Proficient in Lacerte and MS Office Suite, preferred
