Job Title:                                 Senior Tax Accountant Reports To:                             Global Tax Manager Department:                          Finance & Accounting Location:                                 Dundalk, Co. Louth (Hybrid) Hours of Work:                      37.5 hours weekly (Mon - Fri - 09:00 - 17:30)

Job Overview: This role is responsible for the tax compliance of all non-US entities (including EME, APAC, and Canada) within the Company.  This includes indirect tax return preparation in addition to coordination with service providers for income tax returns.  This position will also assist with local statutory reporting and provisioning for all non-US legal entities.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Preparation/review of VAT returns for all non-US companies Maintenance/reconciliation of VAT general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness Coordination with outside tax providers with respect to corporate income tax returns for all non-US companies Provide support with annual statutory financial statements audits Preparation of yearly tax provisions. Assist with any tax audits Monitor all new tax law developments in indirect and direct tax in EME and Asia-Pacific region and advise company on the impact.

Essential Criteria:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. Qualifications: ACA, ACCA or CTA qualification preferred. Experience/ Specialist knowledge: Will be a qualified accountant with 4 -5 years post qualification experience. Strong expertise in VAT/GST and other indirect tax regime frameworks and cross-border transaction tax rules Some knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP preferred. Should have experience preparing corporation tax and VAT returns in European countries. Communication: The candidate must be credible across all levels within the organisation, whether presenting to board members or to ledger clerks. Technical: must have a comprehensive technical knowledge of financial reporting and taxation.  Must keep up to date with the CPD. Teamwork: Will be part of the global finance team and must be prepared to undertake ad-hoc duties as when required in order to facilitate smooth running of department. Organisation: must be highly organised, will have several different deadlines each month. IT Literate.
