General Purpose of Position:
Oversee and manage general accounting functions, including but not limited to shared services, GL reconciliations and monthly closing.

Maintain Fixed Assets in Sage and deprecation reporting |

Prepare journal entries as necessary |

GL balance sheet reconciliations |

4 |
Monthly budget variance reporting |
|
5 |
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets |

6 |
Assist Business Development with Project costing |
|
7 |
Administer fixed assets/depreciation |
|
8 |
Prepare items for tax return and Research & Development Tax Credit |

9 |
Inventory Accounting |
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of JD Edwards experience a plus
- Knowledge of Sage experience a plus
- Working knowledge of GAAP concepts
- Advanced problem resolution skills and communication abilities (both verbal and written)
- Exceptional organization and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance or equivalent experience (required)
- 3+ years accounting experience (required)
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Required to sit, talk, see, and hear. Occasionally required to walk, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must use hands and fingers to operate computer.
- Must have the ability to adjust focus for unplanned activities and other duties as assigned. Daily contact requires courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.
- The work environment is indoors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet.
